Configuring Meta Data |
Top Previous Next |
❖ The Meta Data containing layers were previously configured from a database. These are non-graphic layers. You can create and add your own Meta Data containing layers from a spreadsheet etc.
❖ Some of the other layers have been configured to use the Meta Data containing layers data for look up values. Let's look at the Liths layer as an example. Right click the Liths layer and select View Data. ❖ Right click LAYER_NAME column heading. Select Edit Column.
❖ You will see there is a Lookup Layer. The layer that is being looked up is LAYER_HDR - This is one of the containing layers of the Meta Data folder. The Value and Display Column is LAYER_NAME.
❖ Here is the actual layer LAYER_HDR from the Meta Data folder with LAYER_NAME as one of its columns in the data grid.
❖ Going back to the Liths data grid, you will see by clicking the cell under the LAYER_NAME column you can choose the appropriate item when logging your geological objects.
