I have an Excel spreadsheet of retail outlets that I am going to add as a layer, however I don't want want every row of that sheet to be added since there are 40,000 rows and I'm only interested in seeing certain outlets so I will specify a load filter script when adding the layer:
In my Load Filter Script I specified that only rows starting with G in the PROVINCE column should be loaded since I only want to work with Gauteng province points, I click OK and my layer is then added with only the Gauteng outlets, which number only 5,764 as opposed to the full amount that would've been loaded which is 40,000:
