System Requirements for Server and Clients

FOR THE LICENSE SERVER:  

Windows Server 2003 R2 or above  

Can be on the same machine as DB server but does not have to be.  

Minimum 2MB RAM, 32 or 64 Bit Processor, and Any CPU that is supported by Windows Server R2 or above  

FOR THE DATABASE SERVER:  

Windows Server 2003 R2 or above  

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or above.  

Minimum 4MB Ram recommended, and Any CPU supported by Windows Server R2 or above  

FOR THE CLIENT MACHINES (ANY NUMBER OF MACHINES)  

Bentley MicroStation Connect Edition.  

Microsoft Windows XP or above.  

The machine needs to be specced so that MicroStation can run on it.  

However for creating large DTM’s etc it is recommended that the client machine has at least 8MB RAM and at least a Dual Core CPU
