GeologXL – Advanced enterprise geological mapping

GeologXL provides advanced geological mapping abilities.

It is completely  customizable and allows storing your geological data in almost any database or data format.

Supported databases include:

  1. SQL Server (All versions including Express)
  2. Oracle (All versions from 9 up)
  3. Postgres
  4. MySQL
  5. MS Access
  6. SQLite

GeologXL allows offline operation. Before leaving for the field, download the data you wish to work with. This includes your own custom metadata. Then while out you can modify, delete and add new geological data. When you return to the office just click on the synchronize button and your data is uploaded and synchronized with the server database.

GeologXL allows total freedom over the fields captured. It allows defining custom lookups, validation rules etcetera.

The geological data is stored as native 3D spatial data in the database. Thus in Oracle it supports Oracle Spatial. In SQL server it supports the native SQL 2d geometries, and using our SpatialBase it supports any 3d data. If you don’t need to manipulate the 3d data inside Sql server then the data is stored in binary form on the database and can be manipulated in the GeologXL front end.

Relations can be defined between geological data tables allowing for capture of master detail data.

Data can be exported to almost any graphic format including:

  1. Microstation DGN
  2. Autodesk DWG/DXF
  3. Datamine
  4. ESRI shape files
  5. Mapinfo TAB files
  6. Modelmaker TOT files
  7. and many other lesser known formats

Any external spatial data can be loaded and overlaid. Data can be loaded from the following sources:

  1. Microstation DGN
  2. Autodesk DWG/DXF
  3. Datamine
  4. ESRI shape files
  5. Mapinfo TAB files
  6. Whittle block models
  7. All image file formats
  8. ModelMaker TOT files
  9. LandXML files

Data can be coordinated by placement of tapes and construction points.

Data can be captured in freehand as well as needed.

SpatialBase – 3D spatial database for mining and engineering

SpatialBase is an Extension to SQL server and Oracle that provides advanced 3D capabilities for spatial storage and manipulation.

It is ideal for storing Mining data and natively supports mining objects such as Tapes, Boreholes, Histograms, Variograms, Coordinate transformations and Triangulated Irregular Network surfaces.

There are operations to compute contours, heat maps, Voroni diagrams, coordinate transformations, 2.5 D projections and boolean operations.

SpatialBase supports the OGC standards for SQL Geometries and has its own high performance indexing which works on 2D and 3D geometries.

SamplingXL – Underground sampling solution

SamplingXL is the most advanced underground sampling solution available.

Based on our high performance graphics engine SamplingXL allows you to view any other spatial data with your sampling data. Both Sql Server and Oracle are supported as database backends.

SamplingXL exports sample sections directly to graphics, and there is a hot link from graphics to your sampling sheets and vice versa.

Sample sheet reports can be exported as PDF and sample sheets can even be mailed via e-mail.SamplingXL

Sections can be coordinated by placing tape, relative to pegs, and the full construction is saved with the sample sheet.

LocateXL – High speed bulk geocoder for Microsoft Excel

LocateXL is an open extensible Geocoder that works within Microsoft Excel or as a standalone application if you need to process more than a million records at a time.


LocateXL uses a revolutionary full text and structured approach to process all kinds of datasets. Datasets may be totally unstructured or have some or all address fields specified. LocateXL is able to work with fields holding possible two address fields in one column extending the precision of the geocoding and the range of datasets it can successfully process.

Using the familiar Microsoft Excel environment you are able to filter out bad records, geocode subsets and change settings to match filtered subsets to easily geocode almost any dataset. During the geocoding process the correct canonical address is given back.
