A new feature called Annotate Items has been added to our surveying packages SurveyXL and MineModeller that allows you to easily plot Area, Length and Volume annotations on selected geometries in the scene; you can also colour these annotations as well as the elements themselves based on their value. You can select multiple elements at once and have these annotations plotted in one shot:
